ATTEMPTING TO SAVE MY SANITY THIS EASTER

Like many of you, I am going away for the Easter break with my family. We have a long 3 hour drive ahead of us. We will have a very active 2 year old and a 3 month old, who hates the car.

So in a desperate attempt to protect my sanity. I googled some ideas on how best to tackle this road trip.

As I began to read, some of the ideas I came across moved away from been directly related to the kids and more toward the overall trip.  So I put together the best 5 ideas I could come up with and I put them here for you. Hopefully they may help your Easter road trip go a little smother.

Bring order to the backseat chaos with a backseat car organizer

My little guy is forever losing his water bottle or his shoes under the car seats, this might give us a small chance of finding something else to distract him with.

Create a kit for all the little things that you might need

Create a kit for all the little things that you might need – ideas of things to add include antacids, nail clippers, extra cash, band-aids, Panadol, etc. You can also purchase pre-packaged first aid kits that can help in the time of need.

We have jumper cables in our car but sometimes people don’t understand how to connect them. Even if you don’t have a set of jumpers in your car,  print this nifty tag just in case you need to jump another vehicle.

DIY iPad Holder For Your Car’s Headrest

ipadThis is not part of my skill set, but I am sure my wife will be able to sort this one out. (I have a feeling we will be sick of Chuggintion repeats!)

Use a Shower Caddy to Organize Your Oil & Fluids

If you decide to take some engine oil or other fluids for your car, use a shower caddy to keep things from siding around.

Lastly,

It goes without saying, get your car checked over before you go on any serious road trips. Try and catch a problem before it ruins your holiday.

Stay safe and keep smiling
